Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can't find what you're looking for? Call us directly at (289) 820-5913 β€” we're happy to talk it through.

Does Greenville Pharmacy accept ODB and private insurance? +

Yes. We bill ODB directly for eligible patients and accept most private insurance plans, including ESI, GreenShield, Telus eClaims, and others. If you're unsure whether your plan is covered, bring your insurance card on your first visit and we'll check for you on the spot.

How long does it take to transfer my prescriptions? +

Most transfers are completed within one business day. Once you submit a request, we contact your current pharmacy directly β€” you don't need to call them yourself or fill out any paperwork. We'll let you know as soon as your prescriptions are ready.

What should I expect during a same-day consultation (UTI, travel health, etc.)? +

You'll complete a short clinical intake β€” either online before you arrive or in person at the pharmacy. Your pharmacist reviews your answers, asks any follow-up questions needed, and determines whether you're eligible for treatment under the relevant clinical pathway. If eligible, your prescription is prepared the same visit. Some conditions may require a referral to a physician if red flags are identified.

Is a pharmacist always available when the store is open? +

A licensed pharmacist is on duty during all posted hours. Prescriptions cannot be dispensed and clinical consultations cannot be completed outside of pharmacist-available hours β€” see our hours listed below.

Do I need a doctor's referral for travel health or smoking cessation services? +

No referral is needed. Ontario pharmacists can independently assess and prescribe for a range of services, including travel vaccines and smoking cessation medications, without a physician visit. Coverage varies β€” speak with us about what's included under ODB versus private pay for your specific situation.

Can I book an appointment, or is it walk-in only? +

Both. Many services are available on a walk-in basis, and you're also welcome to book ahead online through the link above to guarantee a time that works for you, especially for vaccines and longer consultations.
